They are extensively used for oil, confectionaries and as flavor enhancers to various dishes. Sesame seeds are bought on basis of their purity. There are two types of Sesame Seeds in Nigeria, which are grown in Benue State of Nigeria and the Golden sesame seed, grown in Kano State, of Nigeria. Both qualities are widely accepted in the International market.
